January 28, 2014 Around 9:45 p.m. last night, Vincent Petrella stopped on Interstate 88 to assist a semi-truck driver on the road. An Illinois State trooper also stopped to help.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department reported that a collision that occurred on Dec. 14 around 2:30 p.m. claimed the life of a cheer coach at Woodlawn Elementary. According to reports, the accident happened on Route 15 near Driver’s Lane.
