Today, that mission continues under the leadership of Lindsey Strom and Kevin Yen, along with attorney Adam J. Scholl. Together, they carry forward Neal’s legacy with a modern approach and innovative strategies that put clients first.

As the founder of the firm, Neal has devoted his life to working for the worker. His achievements are numerous and beyond reproach. He is most proud of his work in helping clients obtain valuable benefits, such as a wheelchair ramp to his home or lifetime medical care.
He is an aggressive litigator. “I make my opponent do what they do not want to do. So if someone is saying no to you, I can help. I will aggressively pursue your case and my staff and I will be there with you on every step of your journey.”
He is active in many community groups providing pro bono legal services. His past clients see him as a trusted friend and a trustworthy attorney.

Kevin Yen

Kevin Yen is a partner with Strom Yen Law Firm. Kevin manages the personal injury department for the law firm.
He joined the firm 2002 and has dedicated his practice to the litigation of personal injury matters. He has represented and helped well over a thousand clients, and their families, to recover damages for their loss. His clients have included family members who lost a loved one due to a tragic accident, injured children, construction workers injured while on the job site and a host of others.
Kevin has obtained a multitude of successful recoveries for his clients, including a multi-million-dollar settlement for the family of a man killed in a car accident. He has litigated cases against a wide array of defendants, including multinational companies, construction companies, trucking and intermodal carriers, municipalities, nursing homes and hospitals.
Kevin continues to lecture in various community outreach programs. He has also been engaged in pro bono matters, including adoptions, contractual disputes and landlord-tenant rights. He is a member of Administer Justice, a Legal Aid Ministry, donating his service to their legal aid clinic.
Kevin is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He is also admitted to the Federal Trial Bar for the U.S. Northern District Court of Illinois.
Mr. Yen continues to help his clients by giving them the utmost attention and judicious advice. Mr. Yen thoroughly educates his clients on the legal issues involved in the lawsuit so that they are never “in the dark”.
He also values the knowledge, opinions and experiences his clients bring to the table. Above all, he strives to involve his clients in every facet of their lawsuits.

Lindsey Strom manages the workers compensation department of the law firm.
Lindsey Strom received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 2004. In 2008, Lindsey graduated from DePaul University School of Law and was admitted to the Illinois bar. During law school, Lindsey worked at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Juvenile Justice Bureau. She obtained her 711 license and successfully prosecuted juveniles in narcotics and domestic violence cases. Before working at Strom Yen Injury Attorneys, Ltd., Lindsey practiced workers’ compensation as an insurance defense attorney. Her experience in working for the insurance companies has provided a wealth of knowledge and has made her better equipped to help those injured workers in need. Lindsey is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association and sat on the Board of Directors before becoming an executive board member in 2024.
In 2013, Lindsey was also selected by Super Lawyers & Chicago Magazine to the prestigious Rising Stars List as one of the top up-andcoming attorneys in Illinois. This is an honor received by only 2.5% of attorneys in Illinois each year. In October 2013, Lindsey was also recognized by Chicago Magazine and Super Lawyers, as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Illinois. She received the honor of being selected as a Super Lawyer for several years.
Since 2015, Lindsey was recognized as one of the ‘10 Best’ attorneys for Illinois by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys. In order to achieve this honor, one must be formally nominated by the board, clients, and/or a fellow attorney; have attained the highest degree of professional achievement in his or her field of law; and have an impeccable client satisfaction rating. Lindsey has continuously been recognized as an Emerging Lawyer in Illinois. Emerging Lawyers are made up of the top two percent of lawyers who are 40 years old or younger OR practicing law 10 years or less and have proven themselves professional, ethical and experienced at an early point in their legal career.
