The Illinois Department of Public Health publishes its findings of nursing home violations quarterly.  For the fourth quarter of 2019, the Department has issued fines to a number of nursing homes. The fines come as a result of a variety of neglect, improper care, and abuse.  They including failing to re-position a patient in bed, failing to protect resident from sexual assault, failure to prevent fall and failure to properly treat a pressure ulcer.

The monetary fines range from $25,000 to $50,000. Aperion Care of Forest Park was issued an AA Citation, which is for an occurrence which results in the death of the resident.
