A Chicago woman died after she was struck in a hit-and-run collision in a South Side neighborhood on June 24. The vehicle involved in the car accident had just been stolen when the driver struck the woman. The accident occurred in the Pill Hill neighborhood in the 9100 block of South Euclid Avenue in the early morning.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office said that the 54-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident just before 6 a.m. An autopsy conducted on June 25 determined that she died due to multiple injuries after the stolen car struck her. The woman lived about a mile away from the scene of the crash.
